Q. - I have noticed a lot of big blue pipe around the area. What’s this pipe for?

Answer - Thanks for your inquiry.

 

North Texas Municipal Water Supply District (NTWSD) provides water to the City of Terrell. Our water supply currently originates from Lake Lavon and comes to the City in a water line from the West.

 

NTWSD is in the completion stage of a large state-of–the–art plant that will supply Lake Tawakoni water to Terrell. The large blue pipes you see are being installed to bring this water to Terrell. Terrell will be the first customer in this water flow and this supply from the North will give us the security and growth potential of two water sources.
