Q. - My front yard has been dug up for nearly a month. I need it to be repaired. Can't help but believe that if it was west Terrell it would have been completed by now.

Answer - Thank you for your email about the utility work.

 

Below you will see a description of the work timeline as of October 17. It anticipates that the construction will be complete on October 28, as long as the water samples pass testing.

 

One thing that is consistent about underground utility construction is that it always takes a lot of time and makes a big mess.

 

What the City Council and our City staff are doing is a major replacement of underground utilities that are just too old to provide good service. We are doing this in your neighborhood and in other locations identified by the City Engineer. The total project is a big one - about $2 million.

 

When the project is completed, we will save money in the long run and your services will be more reliable.
