Q. - I know this is not the city's responsibility, but maybe you can refer me to the proper authority. Can the trees around power lines be trimmed? I'm so tired of the power going off for days at every storm or snowfall. I understand this would butcher lots of trees but it may be necessary.

Answer - If you have a concern about the trees that might interfere with your power lines, call your Retail Electric Provider (the company that you pay for electricity). They will issue a ticket to Oncor, the company that owns the power lines. Then Oncor will investigate the situation.
